Tom Tiddler's Ground

It's the summer holidays, and Vic and his friend Brain go exploring
along the canal. They find an abandoned barge in a waste patch
known as Tom Tiddler's Ground and convert the cabin into a secret
den. Soon they become a gang of five, the others being Sam (a girl),
her bouncy small sister Mary-Lou, and Darryl, who never worries about
time or clothes because nobody cares.
In an old rhyme, Tom Tiddler's Ground is where you pick up gold and
silver. But when Mary-Lou discovers what she insists is treasure, the
troubles begin. Problems and dangers multiply, and can only be ended
by solving a fifty-year-old mystery to which the ancient canal boat
holds the clue.
